PRE TREATMENT & AFTER CARE
EYELASH EXTENSIONS
Pre Treatment-
-
Shower prior to your appointment.
-
Do not wear any eye makeup before your appointment.
-
Do not wear strip lashes (As the glue from the strip lashes sticks to the natural eyelashes, which means retention will not last)
-
Do not wear fake tan before appointment.
-
Avoid using any oil based products on the face or eye area before your appointment.
-
Avoid coffee or energy drinks for at least 3 hours before your appointment, as the will cause your eyes to flicker.
After Treatment-
-
Do not get your eyelashes wet or any extreme heat for up to 48 hours.
-
Brush through your eyelash extenions morning and night everyday, to keep them fluffy.
-
Do not rub your eyes when coming out of the shower, pat them dry and brush through with your lash wand.
-
Clean your eyelash extensions every 2-3 days, to avoid them clumping together and removing any natural oils.
-
An eyelash cleansing kit can be purchased at your appointment for £5.
-
Do not use any oil based products around the eye area, as this will break the bond of the glue from the natural lash.
-
Please book your infill appointments, every 2-3 weeks to maintain your eyelash extensions.
-
Do not pick your eyelash extensions out, as this will cause your natural lashes to fall out. If you would like to remove your eyelash extensions, please book in a removal appointment, as this needs to be carried out by a professional.
GEL NAILS
Pre Treatment-
-
Remove any nail varnish from the nails before your appointment.
-
If you have acrylics applied and would like to have gel nails. Please get them removed from where you had them applied, as I do not stock the products and equipment to remove acrylic.
-
If you have had gel nails elsewhere and book in, to have your gels applied by EM Beauty, I charge £10 for removal, please do not peel them off! As this will damage the nail bed.
After Treatment-
-
For the first 24 hours after gel application, you should be careful with your nails. Especially lighter colours for example; White, French manicure & Baby blue. As dye from jeans or clothing can rub off onto the nails.
-
Do not use your nails as tools, instead use the pads of your fingers. To avoid any chippings to the gel polish.
-
Use cuticle oil every day, leave by your bed side to apply morning and night. This keeps the nail beds hydrated, which helps strengthens & conditions the nails.
-
Do not pick the gel off your nails, as this will cause damage to the nail bed.
DERMAPLANING
Pre Treatment-
-
Avoid sun exposure 5 days prior to the treatment. If you do have sun burn you will have to reschedule your appointment, to a later date to give the skin time to heal.
-
Any facial waxing needs to be done 1-2 weeks prior to your appointment, to stay with the same hair cycle once all vellus hair is removed.
-
Do not schedule Botox or facial filler appoitments prior to dermaplaning.
-
If you have a flare up of active acne, unfortunately you will need to reschedule your appointment, for when it has calmed down.

-
Do not touch your face immediately after the treatment.

All heat treatments including hot showers should be avoided after 24 hours of the treatment.

-
Do not wash your face or apply any other products to the face at least 24 hours after treatment.

Avoid wearing any make up before your appointment.

Do not touch your eyebrows 5 days prior to your appointment, for example; plucking, waxing or tinting.
After Treatment-
-
Keep your face directly out of the shower stream and do your best to carefully wash your hair and keep yours face as dry as possible.
-
When washing your face be sure not to splash water onto your face like normal. Instead use a washcloth or disposable cleansing wipe to wash around the brows, making sure they stay dry.
-
Do not apply any make up on your brows or around your brow area, for at least 10 days.
-
If your skin starts to feel tight and dry around the brows, you can apply a small amount of castor oil on a cotton bud to slowly roll through the brows.
-
Avoid any heavy exercise for 10 days after the treatment, as this can affect the colour and retention, due to sweating.
-
Avoid sunbeds until the treatment has officially healed which is 8 weeks.

I recommend to book your second top up 4 weeks after your first treatment, to maintain the best results and retention.

-
Do not apply any make up or lotion to face as can cause irritation and block the pores.
